Named for the creek between two cities
Plum Creek is a small waterway that runs between Buda and Kyle — past the wastewater plants, under the I-35 frontage roads, through the golf course community that borrowed its name. We took our name from it because it captures what we do: one local shop serving both cities and everything the creek touches.
A shop built for this corridor
Buda and Kyle are in the middle of one of the fastest growth stories in Texas. Hays County has landed on fastest-growing lists for years; Kyle has more than doubled since 2020, and Buda doubled between the 2010 and 2020 censuses. That growth is great for the corridor — and rough on its plumbing.
Every growth rush leaves plumbing fingerprints: homes built in waves, sometimes fast; water heaters installed in batches now hitting the end of their lives together; new slabs settling into the Blackland Prairie's demanding clay; and a water supply that shifts between Edwards Aquifer groundwater, Canyon Lake surface water, and the new Alliance Carrizo-Wilcox pipeline depending on the season. We built this shop around those realities — because generic Austin plumbing advice doesn't fit out here.
What we promise
- Flat quotes before work starts. The number we agree on is the number you pay.
- Repair-first honesty. If a $200 fix beats a $2,000 replacement, that's the recommendation you get — with the math shown.
- Local water literacy. We test hardness on site, we know the seasonal swings, and we size equipment for what actually comes out of your tap.
- Both cities, no grumbling. A lot of shops serve one city and tolerate the other. We run Buda–Kyle daily by design.
- Clean work. Shoe covers, floor protection, haul-away, and a wipe-down before we leave. Every visit.
The name
Residents sometimes assume we're part of the Plum Creek community's developer or HOA — we're not, though we work there weekly and love that neighborhood's landmark windmill clubhouse. We're simply named for the creek itself: the seam between the Outdoor Capital of Texas and the Pie Capital of Texas. If you live anywhere along it, this is your shop.
